In what form did you buy your Exaltolide? Full strength (solid) of the 50% dilution?

Since they mention ambrette seeds as containing exaltolide, I can definitely also say that Chanel Egoiste pour homme (not to be confused with Chanel Egoiste Platinum...totally different scent) contains exaltolide to some degree. Could've been the reason many years ago, some blonde 8 kept following me around a store almost like velcro when I wore the original Egoiste (elegant coriander/sandalwood scent with musky ambrette seeds)

Yes Ambrette seed contains O-PDL but I'm not really a fan of Ambrette. It's too vegetal for my taste. I prefer more pure musks. That's why I don't like Egyptian musk. Too green for my liking.

I buy diluted ACs anytime they are offerd. Most stuff needs dilutions down to sometimes 0,x%, especially musks, so if some part of the work is already done, just the better. Dissolving soild CC-crystals can be a pain in the ass apart from that.

The observations on the forums confirms that many men can't smell a lot of musks or emitted steroids, while females are muh more sensitive to them.

I think the attraction stems mostly from the Testosterone in the gel they use, but Omega-PDL might modulate the scent/signal favourably. Testosterone is very close to Androstenone as we here know, so pairing Exaltolide with -Androstenone seems a worthwhile experiment to see if it buffers some of the harsh effects it can have
