Very rarely I will find a scent that does not do that to me. Some perfume leaves a sharp precising scent on me, which will totally kill my day, resulting in headache and vomiting.
I SO hear you! I can hardly walk through that aweful section in every store that has all the detergents for sale because the smell causes INSTANT headache, and perfume? Ug! That sounds just like a page out of my book because that seems to be my common experience with mainstream perfume!

1. Does mones have to have a cover scent?
Absolutely NOT...buuuut, not all mones are equal. There are PLENTY however that, once they've dried down are practically undetectable. Most of the mones I have are unscented because the idea of what vendor scents might do to me terrified me. (My first scents from Love Potion were free sniffies sent as a gift with my first order. It was hilarious really, I was COMPLETELY apprehensive to even smell them, but it opened a door and I've found some things -by what seems miraculous to me- that I really loooove. If you would have told me that I was bound to find something I like before then, I would have snorted at you, seriously!) Most of the unscented mones I have I think I notice the smell because I recognize it. I've gone without covers, especially starting out, and no one ever told me I smelled bad...so THAT'S good

Some mones are more musky but most of the ones I have (and I've got quite a number now, lol) wouldn't knock anyone over, even the more pungent ones. Even Essence of Woman settles down once it dries, but I tend to cover it now after dry down with sweet, tasty scents to draw in my hubby.

Yes! You CAN wear them neat.
Diffusion depends on the base: alcohol tends to send it flying but burns off faster where oil tends to draw people in once they get closer and oils by nature linger longer on the skin. It also depends where you put it: lots of body heat like abdomen= lots of diffusion...backs of hands? Not so much...but if you "talk" with your hands, like I do, it will waft it out there ;-)

THAT depends entirely on
you. I know it's hard to decide when you don't where anything scent wise most of the time so just start with what you like, maybe something that seems safe, lol. At first I went for foodie, creamy, vanilla, buttery types...and in little samples...cause I was chicken at first until I gained a bit of trust. Ask here! The ladies are AWESOME and always willing to offer their advice! Pop around the forum and drop a question in the threads here and there. I believe that there are some venders that will give samples of their scents if you ask for them?? LP has an entire page dedicated to trial sizes, lol, for a handful of dollars (I admit to trying a couple handfuls before finding out honey, amber and sugars are my new best buds)
