Here's a link to a recent abstract that discusses perception of androstenone (and androstadienone). I don't recall ever reading about a trigeminal component, but that doesn't mean it's unlikely.

And yes, that is exactly what is happening.

Just FYI. Love-Scent was the first place I really made any pheromone purchases from, and as far as I can tell everything they offer has been 100% legit. No scam stuff there.
Like all pheromone products, some work for some people, others don't. And of course you have to learn how to use them properly. Gegogi may be able to bathe in Primal Instinct without a problem, but for others even a small drop can cause near disaster. It's often cases like these or other misunderstandings that get some "scam" stories started.
I have no problem whatsoever recommending Love Scent as a vendor. The only other vendors I've used are Androtics Direct and Love Potions Magical Perfumerie and they too are 100% in my book. I have found some products I personally can't stand (one from LPP just smelled absolutely awful to me...), but content-wise I have no doubt of quality.
My opinions.

"Pheromonescam" ranks high on searches that people perform. I guess the originalcontext has been buried in other threads. Love Scent is a great placeto get 'mones from.
