Thank you.
They are 'designed' (and by designed I mean just what came to mind off the top of my head) to be playful, humorous, different, and sensual. Giggling over them is a desired outcome. When your first retort to a lady comes off as different, creative, hints at the sexual, and makes her laugh--all at once; you've just succeeded in her mentally ticking off several of her 'right kind of guy for me' boxes. Add in the proper body language and a thousand-chills stare on top of that attitude and you'll more than likely have instantly made more progress than the 30 or so NPC's that already tried to hit on her that day. Style beats game, Charm and Wit beat learned scripts, sensual beats physical.

Edited to add:

The OP, Metaltree, had expressed concern over being judged by bartenders (and others) over not drinking. The styling I did, in moving the reasons why towards seduction, were geared towards displaying that the teetotalling was no matter, moving it out of the limelight, and spring-boarding off of that into making her feel good on the emotional and sexual level. What you and she talk about is of little consequence; how one makes her feel will resonate through her entire core and will always be remembered.

From an economic-strategic standpoint, you'd imagine they understand the societal benefits of designated drivers who make use of their facility's non-alcoholic offerings. No mental hangups for me...I can't bring myself to care.

The entire bar industry has been decimated over the last year due to the lockdowns. It is likely that the bar owners are hurting really badly. So spending a decent amount of money probably the right thing to do.

Hi,

I'm just back after some time of mone abstinence. My favorite clubs are closed, quite a boring time for the extrovert in me (approx. 85 %). So no shenanigans to report...
Anyhow, I just wanted to say hello to you guys.

So on the topic - never had an issue with only a bit of alcohol. Main message: Who cares if they judge you. If you are concerned about that you need quite some boost in self reliance (is there such a term?)

Once, when the shit is over they will be happy to have you back as patron. However I'm afraid that some venues may not have survived...

Don't blame gravity for your stumbling - learn to walk!

This guy advocates not ordering anything at all, not even a soda or water.

Unfortunately the guy in the video doesn't discuss the fact that if a guy goes into a bar and doesn't order anything he is leeching from the venue. A man in a bar should contribute to the financial well being of a bar in one way or another. If there is a cover charge then maybe its okay not to order anything. But if there is no cover charge then the guy should at least get a water and leave a five dollar bill for the bartender.

I think an exception to this is if a bar/club/lounge is run by a large corporation or wealthy owner then it's okay to not give money to the establishment because they simply don't need it. But most bars/clubs/lounges are small businesses and the owners are struggling to survive. So at least some reciprocity is ideal.

Looks like there is a name for someone go goes to a bar and doesn't drink. He/she is called a teetotaler.

Even a former president of the United States is a teetotaler.

I was close friends with a bartender for a while (maybe a bit more than friends), and she was actually the first person who put the idea in my head to order non-alcoholic drinks.

I don't think any self-respecting bartender is going to judge you for ordering mocktails or water; as long as they're still getting tipped, they don't care. But, I can understand where the anxiety comes from.

I think the solution is to reframe how you see the action itself: you're not ordering a non-alcoholic drink because you're too scared to drink, you're ordering it because you're strong, confident, and have self-control. Being in control of yourself is attractive, and anyone who sees it as unattractive only does so because they themselves lack self control.
