Put on the only shirt and pants you have and get your first haircut and shave for 3 mths cause another sucker is gonna pay ya for doing nothing.
"Country" or people growing on farms are generally used to working hard.
Unless your looking for a "suit and tie" it shouldnt matter much, though the hard part in any type of relationship is seeing past that.
It's true that you can't tell a hard worker from a lazy worker just by how they're dressed. But I'm sorry, coming in to an interview with your pants sagging, pre-frayed(ripped up) jeans, is stupid because nobody will know whether or not you're a good worker, because they won't hire you.
But I understand my view is kind of harsh because my mind is in a different place than most of the people coming through the door, my eyes are on promotion, better jobs. You don't need a suit and tie, but for the love all that's good and decent, be clean and presentable, dress with some dignity.

I totally agree. But really, how hard is it to iron a fitted business shirt, button it up, put on slack and wear some nice black dress shoes ? lol Not to mention wash your face and take a shower, wear unscented deodorant, put on 2 sprays of 9+O and own the interview?
