TLDR:
Pros: Willing to sell a discontinued item. V1 is a great product.
Cons: Discontinued a great product. Friendly until something goes wrong. Not willing to fix their mistakes or accept responsibility. Poor business practice: non responsive on ebay, then deleted their ebay without reading (or perhaps ignoring) my messages. Their response to any kind of mix-up is essentially "buy another one."

My experience with S1ck Jewelry

I bought AlphaQ in 2016 and again in 2019. I learned after my 2019 purchase that the scent and formula had changed. I Don't care for it. My wife told me I smell like an old stinky shoe, and a buddy told me I smell like "an actual asshole. Like really, you smell like a butthole" so I tossed it aside. Recently I decided to find the original version, which is where this story starts.

I emailed Dante, the owner of S1ck, in November 2022 to find the original formula. He said I can place an order and email them afterwards if I want v1. My order of v1 unscented got lost in the mail and Dante didn't intend to replace the package. Being a $140 item, that answer didn't fly with me. It took him a couple emails but eventually agreed to send another if I pay for shipping.

I decided to buy 2 travel sizes of v1 unscented while I was waiting for my first package. They arrived without any issues. Then I inquired about buying v1 scented, which I never got a reply for.

Growing annoyed and impatient, I searched ebay and other sources for anyone selling AQ v1. I was surprised to find that Dante had an ebay store. The listing for AQ showed the original AQ (featuring black currant and bergamot) so I pulled the trigger. I messaged him on ebay to confirm he would send v1 scented. Never heard back. The package arrived... guess what? They were both v2. I messaged him again on ebay with screenshots of his listing and a picture of what I had actually received. Not only did I never hear back, but he deleted his ebay store. I emailed him today explaining the situation, asking to swap for v1. He dismissed me entirely and said "We can sell u one upon request" ...Really dude? I replied again firmly asking him to fix his mistake.

Is there anything you can do? I've waited 10 days and still nothing. I've tried contacting the USPS multiple times but their website always says there was a problem sending the message. Your products are top tier, no disputing that, (my travel size was delivered the other day) but I really have a bad taste in my mouth after losing a $140 bottle of v1 AlphaQ. I'd be willing to start a journal thread about AlphaQ on pherotruth to give more visibility if you can send another bottle of the v1.

The AlphaQ you sent appears to be v2. It has pineapple listed as the main scent. The picture on your ebay Item lists begamot and black currant as the first scent ingredients. I sent you a message requesting scented v1 scented right after I purchased it. I understand the holidays are busy and hectic. Where do we go from here?

And the list goes on when it comes to vendors changing their products for no reason without disclosing it with their customers until it's too late.

I really hope your issue gets fixed and Dante owns up to his mistake.

Can't you reclaim your money from eBay. File a dispute

One more thing, you can't always file a dispute online on your bank's website. They will return your money one way or another. My bank has 60 day period

Also PayPal gives refunds right away

after buying directly form AT (slow shipping , no contact ), lacroy (slow shipping ) , Psx ( leaked pack) , i will stick with Aroma Fero which fast ship and no leak pack . Hope your problem can be solve

Sorry to hear about your experience man, S1ck does need to improve a bit, when I ordered from them only issue was that the invoice voice written in a dodgy way or something, which made it stuck in the customs office and I had to pay some weird extra fees to get it locally lol.

Ok, silly question: I know AQ is made by LAL so can't Garry just make a batch of the older version or is it a question of particular ingredients being no longer available? Since it's on the LAL site I would assume it's not a S1ick exclusive anymore, right?

I'll do a chargeback if I don't hear from them in a couple days.

Gary told me that he doesn't have any. He's probably contractually bound to produce it for them and therefore can't sell any. Although, I'm kicking myself because I don't know which email account I used for proof's sake, but anyway, in 2017 he said that he wasnt even aware that s1ck was revising the product. In other words, S1ck added some shit to Gary's formula without his knowledge to make v2.

He seriously needs an overhaul of his site. The AlphaQ page still says this:

I purchased mine in March of '21 so I can't confirm the differences between it and the original formula, but I know the one time I tried a heavy dose of it that it gave me rage for about 6-7 hours. Have no idea what they've doctored it up with, but I didn't smell the old sock smell.

I thought Johnny Truelove was the guy who is responsible for AQ and other s1ck jewlery/LAL collaboration product, has that changed? Or maybe Dante is his real name?

Also I think Garry should stand up for himself and stop making formula for s1ck, it looks like they clearly violated the contract by changing the formula as well as the scent without letting Garry know. If that is indeed the case, Garry should just sell the formula as his own product. s1ck is nothing but a jewlery store without Garry's stuff.

Also, I think the current scent is actually V3, back in 2020, I gave my first bottle of AQ, barely used, to RTBoss, then I regretted giving it away, so I decided to buy another bottle, I liked the scent, but requested no pheromones due to my massive and already complex combo. This is when they told me that they are changing to the scent with more bergamut.

When the bottle arrived, it was UNSCENTED with pheromones, so I called and let them know about this error, they agreed to send me another bottle. But I have to pay for the shipping fee. When the second bottle arrived, it was the new scent , however, I also suspect that they put pheromones in it, so they pretty much disregarded my request.

I used that bottle for a while, actually added a whole bunch of stuff just for the fun of it, then got bored of it, and sold that bottle, with a label warning, to scorpio69, because I want to get another bottle, this time no special request.

I got my 3rd bottle around mid-2022. This 3rd bottle however, had yet another different scent, which I am not a fan of, also, I do not see much effects from it either, also, I can't mix anything in there if I wanted to, they sealed the bottle off, can't be opened anymore.

Seems to be a trend that they pretty much disregard whatever you say. Thats strange about the 3 scents... I'm only aware of one that has Black currant and bergamot in the top notes, and the 'new' one that is pineapple heavy. It wouldnt surprise me if they made some sort of inbetween scent or lied about what they gave you.

I think Dante is his real name. The ebay store's username is watchdante.

My gut tells me Garry puts up with it because I doubt this is his main gig. He probably sends out shipments on the way to his day job. If he can make money from S1ck without doing anything then thats a good setup.
His website situation is beyond fucked up... I offered to help in trade for some mones. Maybe he can hook me up with v1 AQ after all ;)
