ok, they answered because of copyright fragrances are coded in numbers:
Sauvage and Eau Sauvage do not know which is which:
http://thefragranceshop.com/1393-for-men/
http://thefragranceshop.com/1024-for-men/

Because some of the perfume houses don't like 'knock off's' being made of their scents they give the scent duplication houses a really difficult time. Because of this, TFS has listed some of the duplications with numbers instead of names. I'd gotten a small sample that had Eau Sauvage on the label but when I searched I couldn't find it. Then by coincidence I found a review of '1024' that revealed the actual name of the scent. It can be confusing but if you have a scent you can't find just message them and they'll tell you if they already have it.

If you like Bleu de Chanel, 2145 is a very good recreation of it. Much like most of the TFS scents, it is just about as close as you can get to the original considering that the scents are oil based and not alcohol sprays.

I'll be honest, their scents are high quality but I think GIT, Spicebomb and Invictus are the only close ones that I got. (I've only smelled the oil while in their bottle and not on myself)

Aventus seems off (by a lot).
LNdH was similar but didn't come close to my legit sample from Sephora.
Versace Pour Homme smelled like Allure Pour Homme more to me than Versace Pour Homme. (Have both samples)

Also I'm questioning the longevity of these ... The little bit of Invictus I put on didn't last past 2.5 hrs ...

I ran into the same problem at first. After letting the bottles sit a week or two I noticed that the scents do last longer but it takes a little while for that to happen. I think that because they make the scents when they are ordered, it takes a little time for the the components to really combine. I hate having to be patient with a scent I want to wear all the time but it is worth it for me.

Also, I think because the carrier is different (oil not alcohol) I notice that especially in the bottle it isn't perfect but on the skin the scents I've tried all seem very close to the original. In the case of Fahrenheit and Dirty English I like the initial 20 minutes of TFS's version better.

So i should let it cure in the sample bottle and not inside the spritz ?

Personally, I add the sample to the spritz and shake it all up. It seems to work well for me to combine them and then let them sit. I have a bottle of Aventus scented spritz that I've done that with (along with adding Evolve oil to the bottle) and it has great scent strength and longevity. I didn't add any Iso e to it but the sillage is still quite nice as well.

I am posting back in the forum to say that the smells have indeed cured and do smell better ... Longevity seems a little better too ...

Overall these aren't bad. Getting the spritzes soon ... Aventus is a must, then will probably get Versace The One or La Nuit... Will ask for a sample of Chanel Bleu also with the order to see what that is like.

I'm glad the spritzes are working out better for you. As time progresses they should get even more concentrated (at least that's what I found).

I just had an issue with the body spritz I'd bought based on my reproduction of Dirty English. I literally smelled nothing of the Dirty English scent and only the carrier oils. I emailed to complain and they sent me two vials of Dirty English scented oil to add to the spritz. These oils were pretty concentrated and they worked AMAZINGLY well to give the oil scent the way I felt it should be. They really do have amazing customer service there.

Snoopy,

I found what I was looking for in other threads that I has asked you about. It was Leon333 that did the dirty work on the Spritz to Oil ratio.

(05-23-2014 11:50 PM)leon333 Wrote:  their fragrances are high quality because they use essential oils.as for the scents, they smell very close to the originals.i'd say 98%.i stay away from commercial colognes, they use harmful synthetic ingredients plus nasty chemical fillers.bad for your health in the long run.i stick to the TFS body spritz from now on.the spritz are light,so I added 1 sample vial of perfume oil into the 2oz body spritz but still not enough.so I increased the oil volume and find that you need 3 sample vials for a full strength cologne.just 10 bucks for a bottle of spritz.6 bucks for a sample vial, you need 3 vials so that's 18 bucks.a high quality cologne bottle for only $28 dollars

It was 3 oils to 2 oz Body Spritz...

Virgin Island Water here I come!
