Here's a vague question...

How did you first meet the love of your life?

I'd say that's a direct question!

After seeing me in town about a half dozen times, one evening Wolf finally found a mutual friend to introduce us. I was at a jazz club, a place I frequented, with my friends Louise and Norman. It just so happens that Norm was Wolf's new neighbor. It was crowded, Louise and I were sitting at the bar and Norm was standing behind us and Wolf was standing in the crowd behind him. Earlier in the evening Wolf had asked him to introduce us, so when Norm turned around and saw him there (with five of his buddies) he waved him over.

After we'd known each other for awhile Wolf told me that he'd seen me several times before, around town at various clubs, but could never seem to find the right opportunity to introduce himself. After all, wolves stalk their prey and then...pounce! I had no idea.

Oh, and on our third date, which was New Years Eve, in the middle of a party, he asked me if I was having a good time. I said yes, and then asked him what he was doing for the next forty years. About four years later, I got my answer. For the rest of the story, you'll have to visit Inukshuk.

I think, at the time, his life flashed before his eyes. In fact, much later in our relationship when we were talking about how we met, he admitted it, but said it had happened much earlier that evening, lol.

Love, love, love jazz music! Did you ever see any standout musicians there? Who are your favorites?

It's really cool that you met in a jazz club (it just seems like a hip place to meet).

I remember when they used to have free dancing lessons at the Lincoln Center (so that anybody in the city who loved jazz could come). I met some interesting people, but I cannot say I met my soul mate there.

I have known my husband since I was about 13 years old. We didnt hook up until I was 18 though. We all hung out with the same kids and we were pretty close friends all through middle school and high school. I had a crush on him always but he dated lots of girls. He is a bit of a bad boy type, drove a motorcycle, had a mysterious aura about him so girls attracted to him easily. I didnt really blossom until the last year of high school. I was always the skinny, dorky tom boy type. I came back from my grandparents farm after the summer of my junior year thinking I was the same but apparently I tranformed that year and suddenly a lot of guys paid attention. So I started dating a lot more. He would always try to convience me they were idiots and stay away from them LOL. We would hang around together talking about our crappy relationships until one day he said I wish I could find a girl more like you and I was thinking the same thing about him. We fell in love without even knowing it had happened and the rest is history.

We got married a year after high school. No I wasnt pregnant LOL. I have been married 24 years and my son is 22 We both just knew what we wanted and went for it and didnt look back.

Ahhhh...no secret I love talkin' 'bout DH.

He was working for my former college roommate, and I came back to the States and all she freakin' talked about was DH this, DH that. I thought she was having an affair with this guy. Met him briefly in her office, didn't pay much attention to him. My friend kept bugging me to attend a Superbowl party that HIS friend was throwing. So I finally caved. She left and left me there! He suggested a quick bite after the party - we talked about book and movies and life and he asked me out.

I told him NOT.

He told me he would continue to ask me weekly until I changed my mind.

Next day I bought him a scifi novel I thought he should read (Dan Simmons' Hyperion...). He says he knew he'd marry me then.

Strangely, the friend who brought us together was ANGRY that we hit it off, and it took her years to get over it....hmmm...
