Pheromone oil math
12-20-2016 1:03 PM

As usual my pheromone math is bad and I need help.

A vendor is selling a pheromone oil. The oil is 10ml at 20 mcg's per drop.

Could I then split it into 2 10ml droppers and add 5ml of oil to each dropper.

Would that then make it 2 10ml droppers at 10 mcg's per drop...or no?

Seems like easy but it makes my head spin when i think about it. Reason #200 as to why I am not a Vendor. Pheromone math.

That will only work is you do it on the fifth Tuesday of the month between 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM, and the additional oil is added at exactly 11:27.30 AM.

Okay all kidding aside, you are correct and apparently are better at phero math than you thought.

If you put 5ml of the original concentration into each 10ml container. Then yes, you would roughly have 10 mcgs concentrate after adding just oil to top off each bottle. Adding the 5ml of plain oil dilutes the final volume. A lot of factors though. The kind of oil. The solvent properties. The PPM being at equilibrium. Etc..etc. It's ballpark.

@Mark---Ok thanks. Pheromone math really does make my head spin.

Yeah, no big deal on the oil & other factors. It's just DPG added to DPG. Really not a big production. Thanks for also confirming the math.
