Sounds like a game issue.
I'm guessing that he is an S type MBTI. Because (the only reason) almost everyone on the MBTI post/thread was an N type. Which is really weird as only 10-15% of the population is N type. And almost 100% of posters on Pherotruth/MBTI are N type. This could be the reason he isn't seeing results, he doesn't know how to look for them like an N type does.

Tell him to learn body language and be very watchful for it. That's how I got my room mates hooked. They don't know what they're looking for.

And yes, most of my friends who are Ns tend to notice subtleties like this.
