Some other things that come to mind when I think of a smell called Camo would be machine oil, canvas as in duffle bag, and the wax smell of camoflage makeup itself. It's not just the smell of nature but the smell of man and his toys invading nature.

I'd have to agree with Renny on this one. Like me, sounds like Renny's been there, done that. I know (and miss) the smell of machine oil & canvas. Let's not forget the sweet aroma of moldy poncho.

And jungle floor...Well, maybe today, desert sand, a sort of "metallic" scent.

Jungle floor I am pretty positive I can do... maybe desert wind and sand (in another scent), but metallic? Doubtful.

Diane, you could start a series of 'Camo' scents. Jungle, Woods, 'Urban' (P I love how the term urban is used nowadays), Desert, Artic, Ocean/Sea/Navy, what else..? ...Space? Maybe in a couple decades, as we have yet to have any real conflicts in space. Smile

I hear space has a scent... it has to do with the radiation. It smells like the burnt smell of skin after tanning.

But, you have to breath really deep to smell it.[Image: 21.gif]

To me, the desert sand and rocks have a metallic smell, that and creosote from some of the desert plants.

Hmmm... I'll have to look into that. White sage is what I identify with arid areas. This is a completely different smell than clary sage, which is much more watery to my nose.

I'll have to do a little research and see what desert plant essences, if any I can get ahold of. Creosote, eh?

Urban Camo... concrete, oil, air... what else?
