Beginning My Self Improvement

Hey all,

So as I mentioned in my introduction post, I have some amazon gift cards and I wanted to spend them on self improvement. I never really cared about myself, my looks (outside of clothing) or my health... This year I decided to change that. (Amazon is where I first heard about pheromone colognes btw).

I'm making a conscious effort to eat better and exercise more frequently, I'm down 65lbs so far and I'm here trying to improve my presence and personality and I've still got a lot of work to do.

So, with self improvement in mind -- This is what I got off Amazon.

Deer Antler Velvet - Got that idea here and decided to give it a try

As for todays and last nights steps...

Last night I started "dual n-back" exercises, supposedly this increases intelligence and memory. I will continue to play it 20 minutes or more a day.

I have been listening to subliminal audio clips, as suggested by as33156 in his awesome journal -- I'm only about 255 posts into this very, very large journal, but I'm seeing a lot of good things to try.

I'm listening to Alpha Male mindset, I put it on in the background as I went about my reading, for the first 20 minutes or so I felt very anxious and I had an elevated heart rate... Major WTF thoughts going on, then I realized the audio logs were going on in the background, I had forgotten. I feel a tiny bit tense and anxious still... Not sure if it's 'working' or I'm just having a placebo effect... Either way, for no reason I feel something going on... Strange.

I'll be sure to let everyone know if anything becomes of this stuff.

What is dual n-back?

Keep up with the alpha male mindset for at least a few weeks

In the rotation: TA, AM, TL, Glace, Hyp, 9+0; A'trione, A-1; Eau Naturale 1.0 et seq.; DIY: Neno, DHEA, e'trione, D3, 7-keto; Dzing!, Musc Ravageur, Dior Homme.

This is #9 on the list of '25 scientifically proven ways to make yourself smarter' from QuietGuys link, this is really cool because it supposedly proves that you can increase fluid intelligence -- Increasing fluid intelligence was thought to be impossible. These exercises were created by psychologist Susanne Jaeggi specifically to improve intelligence.

I wasn't going to update so soon, but it felt right.

So, tonight was my families big christmas thing.

After listening to the alpha male subliminals nearly non-stop, I've noticed I feel COMPELLED to walk with much better posture, this is VERY odd for me. I've always had a 'I don't give a fuck' (In a bad way) attitude... Today I was all over how unnatural the way I move looked, I wasn't pleased with my slumpy posture at all, I didn't feel right without great posture...

Also, even among family I'm withdrawn and reclusive -- I went off and sat outside alone, as I often do to gather my thoughts... While I was just thinking and enjoying a drink I caught myself saying "You're the man" in my head, this tripped me out, major WTF moment... I don't talk like that, not to myself or others. Phrases like "You're the man" are NOT in my vocabulary, I caught myself saying things like that in my head all night after that.

Again, I'm not sure if this is a placebo effect because I want change, or if some of this stuff is working... Either way, I did some things that were unnatural to me. My first mones will be here between the 30th and the 4th, I can't wait to try them !

Started doing squats daily, I plan to add plank exercises as well... it's been too cold to walk lately -- This losing weight stuff sucks, I never realized how much that fat kept me warm !!! Walking outside is borderline painful at 65*.

All last night and yesterday I had the subliminal mp3 "Alpha Male Mindset" going on. My Aqua Vitae hasn't arrived in the mail yet. Again, today I had impeccable posture, I stood tall with shoulders back yet relaxed and head held high, I didn't glance at anything without turning my head to look at it directly. It was obvious I felt better about myself, and was more confident in body language.

I went to the bank first, I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary outside of my posture and taking up a huge amount of counter space with a wide stance. The teller couldn't look me in the eye, but I've had that effect on people for years so I chalked it up to my size.

Went to Walmart afterwards to pickup a curtain rod for my mother. I noticed several good looking women that caught my eye today... Usually I would glance at women with my eyes and move on, today when I looked at a woman I gave them my full attention while looking directly at them.

Then, some of this stuff paid off...

Target: 8/10 Asian girl, 19-20 years old.
Dress: Typical "OC" girl, flip flops, short shorts, designer top.
Appeal: Legs.

I was walking down the isles, and I saw her -- Not the hottest girl I've seen, but worth a look. I came to a full stop and looked her in the eye giving her a "You're mine, if I want you" look, which caused her to DHL. I didn't really plan on that stop, I almost couldn't believe I did it myself. Rather than engage in conversation I smiled wryly and moved on.

I might have said something but all of this was reactionary, I didn't plan on any of it... The body language, the looks I gave, the attitude -- it just happened naturally.

Since I don't have any mones yet, I figured I'd put this here instead of starting a journal. This is kinda like a self-improvement journal.

- I Started taking Optimum Nutrion Opti-Men vitamins and Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega fish oil.

- I've Been keeping up with the squats (my legs hate life, hard).

- Listening to Alpha Male Mindset during the day and while I sleep, Deep Calm during the day as well -- Both seem to be helping me, or I'm having a great placebo effect.

- I no longer have stress knots in my stomach.

- My posture has improved, dramatically.

- My voice isn't as quiet as it used to be, I'm projecting my voice much better and clearer.

- I feel more comfortable around people I don't know.


I went to my ex-roommates to pickup a few things, ran into several people I don't know, a guy I hate, and my ex roomies. Me and my roommates kinda left off on bad terms...

As soon as I walked in, I got a look of indifference from a buddy who blew up at me last time I saw him. Went upstairs to grab some things and within seconds of talking with him it was all smiles and laughs, he also followed me around a bit while I gathered some things. This guy is a friend of mine first and foremost, but he can hold a grudge like a pro, and this fight of ours was less than a week ago so I anticipated indifference at BEST.

I'm pleased to say I think these few things have helped me a bit, I'm listening to Deep Calm as I type this and looking forward to dropping more weight and becoming the alpha male I always wanted to be.
